Day 3 & 4 Breaking the Cleanse

Yesterday was a good day.

I woke up and had my orange juice for breakfast.

A few hours later I had more of my soup for lunch. After sitting in the fridge overnight, my soup did eventually turn into more of a chili - all the brown rice, potatoes, and beans must've absorbed the broth that was there.

For dinner, I had the most amazingly wonderful BIG SALAD. It had romaine lettuce, spinach, zucchini, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and celery in it. It was really good.

Today, my "Back to eating normal foods" day, I am feeling pretty good. I'm holdin' the weight loss steady... I haven't gained anything back... yet.

I have found that I am full faster. It doesn't take much food to fill me up. I'm going to try to keep it that way!

I didn't have that great of a breakfast today. I feel sort of like a failure for doing it, but it actually made me realize even more how much I dislike bad foods.

I had about a hand full of hashbrowns, 1 organic egg sunny-side up, half an orange, and 1 strip of turkey bacon.

It really wasn't much, but it didn't taste that good, and now I feel like crap-ola!! So, no more of that.

This morning I woke up feeling extremely dehydrated, so I have downed a ton of water - that is making me feel really full too, but at least it's good for me, right?

I think for lunch I'm going to have a small salad, and then for dinner maybe some steamed brown rice and fresh vegetables. I just don't feel like having anything else... weird huh?

So, I am officially done with the Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet for now. I think it really helped! I probably should have kept going longer... I can tell I still have more stuff to clean out.

I plan to attempt the cleanse again some time next spring, maybe after I graduate from college and I have time to devote to it.

I don't really look at being able to eat again as being "back to normal eating," because I don't plan on eating the way I did before the cleanse. Fruits & vegetables are my best friend now, and portion sizes are a constant thought at meal time. Hopefully I can stay strong and remember what my real goals are.

The lemonade diet taught me...
-Food doesn't control me
-Food is not a reward
-Food is not an activity
-I don't need much food to get the nutrition I need
-To listen to and trust my body
-And that I can accomplish ANYTHING I put my mind to!

My first cleanse... 11 days
This cleanse... 17 days
The next cleanse... as long as it takes cause I know I can do it!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts. Today is my 4th day of my first cleanse and I will try to keep it like you open with the decision to quit. Its going pretty good so far, besides the serious gum problems (very sensitive and occasionally bleeding). I am glad I have found your blog during my research, so I started using a straw today. I hope it will get better the next days. It is really interesting that more than less nothing is mentioned about it in the book -even online, since there are a lot of people out there with the same problem.

Hope reading how you continued eating after the cleanse, and if you still focus on your goals. :)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Good luck with your graduation and take care,

Greetings from New York City,
